“Right now, somewhere, a photographer is inside a community that trusts them, documenting something that matters to them, a body of work that took months or even years to accomplish. The pictures are strong. That is not the hard part. The hard part comes after: getting the work in front of the people who can carry it somewhere, an editor, a grant committee, a curator, an audience that needs to see it and doesn’t yet know it exists. Most photographers are never taught that part. The enemy is not a lack of talent. It is a lack of the knowledge, systems, and guidance that turn images into impact.”
