Sebastian Liste | Documentary Photographer and Mentor
Sebastián Liste is a documentary photographer, sociologist, and founder of PhotoDocumentarians, a mentorship platform and global community for photographers developing long-form visual stories. His photographs have been published in National Geographic, TIME, The New York Times and The New Yorker, and his work has taken him across the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. A member of NOOR Images and a Leica Ambassador, he has spent two decades building documentary projects through sustained engagement with the communities he photographs.
From an abandoned chocolate factory in Salvador de Bahia to the frontlines of the Amazon rainforest, his bodies of work are built over years and shaped by a central conviction: the story that nobody sees changes nothing.

Sebastián Liste PhotoDocumentarians Mentorship offers one-to-one guidance, editing sessions, masterclasses and strategic support for documentary photographers developing long-term projects. Photographers he has mentored have received the National Geographic Explorer Grant, the Alexia Grant and Pulitzer Center grants, and exhibited at Visa pour l’Image and Les Rencontres d’Arles.

His photo stories have appeared in international publications, and his projects have been supported by the Pulitzer Center, the Magnum Foundation, Getty Images and the Alexia Foundation.
